Describe your show in 10 words or less.
Michal: We are all entitled to a musical journey sometimes.
Matt: Electronic, ambient, eclectic, no limits, deep, space travels, lullabies, groovy, diggin’, quirky.
What do you consider to be the greatest year for music?
Michal: Impossible to put it down to a single year, but if I had to narrow it down as much as possible I’d probably go with 1994 – 1996 era in jungle.
Matt: 1997 – because of trip hop and drum and bass releases.
What was the first record you owned or begged someone to buy you?
Michal: I’m pretty sure Commix ‘Perfect Blue’ EP out on Metalheadz was among the first records I bought.
Matt: I don’t remember which one was first, seriously.
Name 5 albums that should be illegal for people not to own?
Michal: T. Power ‘The Self Evident Truth of an Intuitive Mind’; Thomas Koener ‘Nuuk’; Snd ‘Makesnd Cassette’; Manuel Goettschnig ‘E2-E4’; Telomere ‘Zoetosis’.
Matt: The Doors – The Doors; Burial – Untrue; Andy Stott – Luxury Problems; Joy Division – Unknown Pleasures; Traumprinz – Mothercave
You can put together a band of any musicians, dead or alive, to play at any venue – who, where, why?
Michal: Who – Thomas Koener, Brian Eno, John McLaughlin, Bill Laswell, Andreas Vollenweider, Zakir Hussein; Where – Any venue that would guarantee a first-class sonic experience; Why – Because I have a feeling they would come up with something I would never expect beforehand but would listen to the recording for years to come.
Matt: Ian Curtis. I wonder what would he do if he was still with us.
Recommend another show on Frission?
Michal: Cinambientique by Clemens Ruh.
Matt: I recommend all shows on Frission, It’s a great team of diggers.
