On Saturday, 29th April, we will be premiering the 2nd installment of Haju Tapes’ Frission Guest Mix series. This time it’s courtesy of the incomparable Mark Aubert, who has delivered a joyful collage showcasing the eclectic tastes and sensibilities that tell his truly special musical output.

His ‘Bloom’ mix meanders effortlessly from Sonic Youth to Pink Floyd, and Sharp Knife to Ohbliv, unveiling sounds from his collection that instantly give a historical context to his phenomenal production style.

It’s an hour of what we love most: incredible musicians giving us a peek at some of the songs that inspire them, pulling out deep and eclectic sounds that they cherish, taking us on a unique and surprising sonic journey.

Mark is truly multi-talented, as even a cursory glance at his website will show you. He reps for the brilliant SICKONASTY and has recently collaborated with the mighty Acorn Tapes. In December of 2016 he released the instant classic ‘Knight Owl’ through Haju:

He then blessed France’s Cindy’s Tapes with an incredible split tape with Daniel Johnson. It’s a must-have, so brilliantly BeatKonducta-esque that it forced us to christen him the Madlib of the tape universe!

Mark’s ‘Bloom Mix’ will premiere on Saturday 29th 21:00 LA time with a replay the next day Sunday 30th 18:00 GMT for the UK. You will truly need to make some time to get deep into this one.
