Call it what you will, the style that was once lovingly known as ‘broken-beat’ is making a resurgence and finding it’s way into plenty of new productions out this year, not least the live rhythm innovations of Henry Wu Trio

4hero’s Dego Mcfarlane – the straight legendary innovator of UK dance music – and key exponent of the style has been keeping the fires of broken burning on various imprints including his own 2000Black

The Vinyl Factory have just premiered the incredible ‘Don’t Stop.’ Dego is on fine fine form alongside Izzi Dunn and Mr Mensah. It will be out on Italy’s Neroli in a few weeks and it’s a must have joint for all fans of that West London get-down.
